Description

After seven years of living aboard Victor we now offer her for sale. Victor is unique in that she has many features not often seen on Dutch Barges. Built 2010/11 she was commissioned in September 2011. Since then Victor has given us faultless travel along the canals and rivers of Europe. She has every luxury found in a modern day apartment.
Victor is built of high quality steel and unlike many boats of her type is robust and seaworthy to category "C". Also Victor has a full length box keel making her incredibly stable and rigid in rough water. Do not confuse this well built craft with any other Dutch Barge, Victor is far better in many ways. Accommodation

Designed with comfort and quality in mind there is a central wheelhouse with seating and dinning for six.
There are two sleeping cabins. The main bedroom is in the bow and the guest bedroom in the aft of the boat.
Both cabins are en-suite. Central is the extensive living area comprising of Fully fitted kitchen and lounge.
Excepting port hole windows double glazing is found throughout. Woodwork is of the finest quality and inlaid with black ironwood in certain areas. Contrasting colours give a classy feel. To promote comfort further a top quality carpet is fitted to Lounge and bedroom areas. A split air conditioning system can be installed in the bedroom when the temperature makes it uncomfortable to sleep. Each bathroom is fitted with a Vetus toilet
which is quiet and efficient.

Equipment

Victor comes with a 7kva generator connected to a Mastervolt control system. The mastervolt system comprises of a 3.5kva inverter charger a further charger for the bow thruster batteries and a galvanetic transformer to protect the boat from rust in marine areas. There is also reverse polarity sensor which resets automatically. Lighting is predominantly by LED. Both spotlight and strip lighting is fitted giving a choice of lighting modes. A 10.7bhp electrical bow thruster is fitted to the bow of the boat. Heating is provided by a Kabola diesel boiler piped to fin pipe radiators fitted throughout the boat. Extra heating is provided by a wood burning stove and an immersion heater when connected to shore power. A fully fitted audio / visual system is also fitted. Comprising of TV, Sound bar, DVD player, Humax PVR and automatic satelite tracking system.

Navigation Equipment

Recent installation of an AIS class B system has been very useful in navigating the canals of Holland.
This system shows your size and position on a global navigation system and also shows other vessels approaching even when not in view. This is a good safety feature when commercial boats area in your area.
PC-Naivigo satelite navigation is used with a PC in the wheelhouse.

6Ltr / 150 Bhp straight six Diesel.
Constructed by Beta Marine engines in Gloucester UK.
This engine is a conversion of an Iveco diesel making all parts readily available with service agents worldwide. The engine is standard and easy to maintain and has proved very reliable.

Safety Equipment

The gunwales on Victor are particularly wide and there are plenty of grip rails for your safety.
The boat itself is protected by a rubber rubbing strip mounted on a 50 x 100mm steel box section.
This runs all around the boat. Further protection is given by zig zag fenders placed just above water level.
As an extra Victor now has 4 camera cctv system fitted.
