Twin Disc MG514U V Drive Hydraulic Gearbox With Oil Cooler.
We have a choice of three units available, all in working order with very low hours from ex government vessels which have been repowered. Mechanical gearshift actuators fitted.
They were originally used in conjunction with Volvo Penta TAMD122D 480hp engines and are designed to be mounted remotely from the engine. We also have two of the Volvo Penta TAMD122D engines remaining in stock.
These are heavy duty commercial gearboxes and weight is approximately 500kg per unit.

Newage PRM gearbox 90D 2.5 ratio.
Supplied by Newage in 2018 and fitted to Perkins Perama M25 diesel on 10m yacht as replacement for Hurth 100.
Used for one season but noisy under GRP cockpit so replaced by more expensive Hurth ZF 12.

The PRM60 gearbox is designed for use in pleasure craft where a simple lightweight transmission is required.
The cone clutches for both ahead and astern are mechanically operated and require no adjustment.
The gearbox is purpose built to operate with standard rotation engines i.e. providing a clockwise rotation of the gearbox input shaft when viewed on input. In forward drive the output shaft rotates opposite to input shaft therefore requiring a right hand propeller.
